I am doing a challenge piece for Emily Carr. The topic I chose to do is engage. I am supposed to create a work that visually describes, comments on, or interprets how I engage within my community right now. Since I'm a cosplayer, many people think I am weird because of my strange outfit. I'm not very engaged with the community, but I'm happy of who I am right now. There are also many people out there that face similar situation. What I want to show in this piece is that even though I'm not very engaged with the community (the black background and the contrasting red and yellow background), but I have my own colour, which makes myself unique.
