When I decided to do my art work, I was inspired by are work on Pinterest and wanted to do a bicycle for this project; however, when I walked around the class and saw this mechanical object which has a look of moon. I hope the views can see the gloomy feel in the urban city during night that I want to bring out. My work can be view from all four different perspective because the moon and the buildings are perpendicular. One significant artist choice I made was to cut my work. The main reason I cut it at first was because it looks unfinished when it was not cut; however, after seeing it can be view from all four sides, I decided to cut it into a square to help to show it more. One comment I received was to try to fill up the top part of the work which helped my final piece to look finished. I challenge I experienced was that because I used shaving cream, I was not able to erase off of it. I tried to do the sketch a little bit looser and gives it a messy, but fairly organized feel. As an artist, I was not afraid to try new things and I was able to overcome obstacles. One significant thing I learned while creating this piece is to test more before I started to do my art work and I learned how to use shaving cream on my work.
